First, let me take a moment to thank you for reading my article! I hope you find this to be an encouraging read and gain some helpful insights for your current journey.

Now that we have that out of the way…..let me share a “simple truth” with you….

“When we look good…we feel good…..when we feel good….everyone we encounter feels the positive impact.”

I know you’ve heard the term “self- care” and honestly we need to implement this practice into our daily routine. What are some things that come to mind when you think about self-care? Take a moment to reflect…

Examples of self-care are often referred to as: journaling, exercising and simply resting. ALL of these are awesome forms of this much needed practice. But I want to stretch your thinking a little bit. Have you ever considered style & fashion as a form of self-care? ….. Selecting the right outfit can affect us more than we know! When I say the “right” outfit – I am simply referencing clothing pieces that make us feel like the best version of ourselves.

“Style is knowing who you are and what you want to say.”

Here are some tips to help you help you get started:

  1. Plan your outfits! Yes, I said PLAN! Take a look in your closet and pull out your pieces that make you feel your best.
  2. Get dressed! Simple right? Even if you’re working from home – get dressed for the day as if you are headed to the office.
  3. Have fun with accessories! Try some new earrings or a stylish hat to give your overall look a boost.
  4. Remember, style is knowing who you are and what you want to say. OWN IT, QUEEN!

Right now, we are experiencing some very challenging times. However, I want to challenge you to still “show up” as your best self! Dress for your future & not the present. There is so much work to be done and you are the woman for the job…So dress up, show up & more importantly don’t give up!
